Ron Cirihal is the Director of Global Procurement Administration at American Axle & Manufacturing (AAM) with nearly twenty-eight years of experience in procurement within the automotive industry.

In his role, Cirihal leads Global Procurement’s Supplier Relationship Management efforts, including a holistic approach to Supplier Risk Management: his group manages supplier financial and operational risk globally by engaging Procurement, Supplier Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain Management associates in a cross-functional approach. Cirihal’s team also manages supplier compliance by performing due diligence during onboarding and then monitoring the entire global supply base for any reported compliance issues throughout their lifecycle. He also leads Global Procurement’s participation in AAM’s Environmental, Social, and Governance programs with responsibility for supplier diversity, procurement sustainability, and responsible sourcing processes.

Cirihal has served in a variety of procurement leadership roles since joining AAM in 2004. Prior to AAM, he held several procurement roles at Ford Motor Company. He holds both a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
