Vijay Mehta

In 2020, Mr. Mehta, together with his two partners, founded Arkview Capital, an emerging and minority-controlled private equity fund that invests in diversity-oriented companies.

Diversity has been a passion and commitment for Vijay who is actively involved in the following ESG/DE&I related initiatives: Member of the New York/New Jersey Minority Supplier Development Council Input Committee, Member of the Harvard Business School Club of New York Racial Equity Committee, Member of the Association of Corporate Growth DE&I Committee, Genesis Bank DE&I Advisory Board, Member of the National Association of Investment Companies, and Member of the Asian American Association of Investment Managers.

Prior to founding Arkview, Mr. Mehta was a Managing Director at Ziff Brothers Investments (ZBI), the family office investment arm of the Ziff family. Mr. Mehta was a member of the Investment Committee at ZBI with broad responsibilities over the investment portfolio, as well as portfolio construction and risk management functions. Since 2010, Mr. Mehta had various roles across several groups at ZBI, including Investment Strategy, Private Markets, Risk, and most recently the overall Investment Group.

Prior to joining ZBI, Mr. Mehta worked at a private equity fund, Texas Pacific Group (TPG), focusing on the energy and industrial sectors. Prior to TPG, Mr. Mehta worked in the Investment Banking Division at Morgan Stanley, where he was a member of the Financial Sponsors Group.

Mr. Mehta graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania’s Huntsman Program in International Studies & Business, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies. He was named a Joseph Wharton Scholar and Benjamin Franklin Scholar. Mr. Mehta also earned an MBA from the Harvard Business School, where he was named a Baker Scholar and received the Loeb prize in the Finance Department.
