Shelly Belton is a Workforce Coordinator for Dislocated Services with the State of Michigan’s Talent Investment Agency. She coordinates support services offered free of charge to Michigan’s workforce to aide in layoff aversion, skill enhancement, career development, education navigation, re-employment assistance, unemployment insurance information, pre-feasibility assessment, targeted training, and process improvement.
Ms. Belton holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Advertising from Michigan State University, a Master of Business Administration, focused in Strategic Leadership from Spring Arbor University and is currently pursuing a Master of Education, majoring in Teaching and Learning with a concentration in Career and Technical Education from Wayne State University. She is passionate in developing resources that empower Michigan’s workforce and create sustainable career paths for future generations.
Ms. Belton enjoys solving puzzles, volunteering with children through the League of Enchantment, serving her neighborhood on the Communications Committee and binge-watching Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.
