Marc DeCoster started his career with the Department of Labor/Office of apprenticeship in September 2016, continuing a 23-year government career. Marc is a US Navy Veteran. His naval career was with the submarine community. His first duty location was a Fast Attack Nuclear Submarine. The remainder of his career was performing refit maintenance on Ballistic Missile Nuclear Submarines. He also served as the liaison for the Military Apprenticeship Program. During that time, he assisted enlisted members in all aspects of the apprenticeship program.
He completed an Apprenticeship in Maintenance Mechanic before the end his enlistment. Returning to the civilian workforce, he joined the local Pipefitter Union and worked as a Journeyman Pipefitter.
Marc received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Lawrence Technological University. Since then he has worked for various government agencies, most recently the Social Security Administration as a Computer Systems Administrator/Field Office Representative.
