Mr. Amen possesses 30 years of business leadership, operations, technical, and M&A experience ranging across five major industries: Aerospace; Energy and Utilities; Information Technology and Business Process Outsourcing; and Diversified Technology and Global Manufacturing. Lem has a solid track record of outstanding achievement in generating new business, building global brands, and delivering growth and superior financial results, while cultivating winning teams and culture. Lem has earned a reputation of being a visible change agent, gaining the loyalty of both customers and employees. His courageous leadership enables all stakeholders to elevate their contribution to produce sustainable growth in market share and earnings, thus building Enterprise Value.
Currently, Lem is Chairman and managing partner of Altius Manufacturing Group LLC. (AMG), a private equity firm focused on niche value creation opportunities in long term sustainable global growth mid-markets. From 2011-2016, Lem served as the Chairman & CEO of Viking Engineering & Development Incorporated, A former portfolio company of AMG.
Prior, Lem served 3M Company as President and General Manager for the Track and Trace Solutions Division, providing RF identification, Location based services, and electronic sensing components and full solutions for safety, security and asset utilization markets and applications. Prior, Lem served as Staff Vice President for 3M Corporate Marketing and Sales unit which architect the global 3M brand operations worldwide.
Prior to 3M, Mr. Amen served as Regional President and General Manager for EDS (an HP company). Lem served as a key leader in the Solutions Consulting business unit (application services), one of EDS’ four lines of business and its fastest growth sector.
Before joining EDS, Mr. Amen was managing director of iCORE Strategic Collaborative, a professional services and Business Process Operations consulting firm. Lem also held various leadership and operations management positions across different industry verticals, including: Electric, Gas, and Energy generation markets; Pacific Gas and Electric Company. Aerospace and Defense markets; The Aerospace Corporation.
Mr. Amen earned his Master of Science in Environmental Engineering and Engineering Management from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Northridge.
Mr. Amen is a staunch supporter of economic development and youth educational based community programs. Lem’s experience is shared among various commercial board advisory and directorship roles. Lemuel resides in Detroit metro area, Michigan.
