Kevin Chau is the Apprenticeship Specialist for the State of Michigan’s Talent Investment Agency (TIA). In this role, he is responsible for state-level leadership and coordination with the talent system including the 16 Michigan Works! Agencies and their Apprenticeship Success Coordinators as well as collaborating with multiple state departments and agencies on growing the number of registered apprenticeship programs and apprentices in Michigan. Additionally, Kevin serves as the key liaison to the U.S. Department of Labor, Michigan Office of Apprenticeship; industry; talent partners; educational institutions; and others involved in registered apprenticeship. Prior to joining TIA in April 2018, he worked for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services for 13 years in the Bureau of EMS, Trauma and Preparedness. He is a graduate of the Wayne State University (B.S. Computer Science) and Western Michigan University (M.S. Engineering Management; MBA; MPA).
