Arthur McClellan is Head of Supplier Diversity for Valeo, a major Tier I automotive supplier. Over the course of his career, he has held a variety of positions including:
Mr. McClellan served as a City Councilman for the City of Pontiac from 2003-2009. He was elected President of the Pontiac City Council by his colleagues and served in this position from 2006-2009.
Mr. McClellan has served on the boards of many organizations including National Minority Supplier Development Council the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council, Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Motors Enterprise, Inc., Center for Empowerment and Economic Development and the Real Life 101 Scholarship Fund. From 2008 -2010, he served as President of the NMSDC Automotive Industry Group.
Mr. McClellan is currently a member of the board of directors of Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council, Pontiac Alumni Foundation and Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County. He also serves as co-chair of the Corporate Development Committee and Automotive Industry Group for the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council.
Mr. McClellan attended the University of Michigan where he graduated with a Bachelor’s in General Studies. He continued his educational pursuits at the University of Michigan and graduated with a Master’s in Urban Planning followed by a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
Mr. McClellan has been recognized by the Michigan Chronicle as one of its Men of Excellence, DiversityPlus Magazine as a champion of supplier diversity and Driven Magazine celebrating multicultural achievements in the automotive industry.
