Mr. Apaez has built a solid career as a cluster practitioner and expert consultant in one of the most promising automotive markets in the world – Mexico. Since 2007, he has been part of CLAUT’s founding team, managing areas such as Energy, Sustainability, Tooling, Operations and Innovation. His current position as innovation director makes him responsible of conducting the high level strategies of the organization on Innovation and managing DRIVEN / CLAUT’S Innovation Center.
For a 2 year period (2008-2010), Ricardo served as project manager at Yazaki (Japanese CLAUT member) being responsible of launching Heads Up Displays products for Ford and Instrument Panel Clusters for Toyota.
His academic background consists of a Mechatronics Bachelor Degree by Tecnologico de Monterrey with a minor in Automotive Engineering by the University of Braunschweig in Germany. He has achieved a champion and expert consultant level in Energy Efficiency, Toyota Production System and Product Design. Ricardo also has an executive management certificate by the ICAMI institute in Monterrey and is currently enrolled in a Master of Engineering Program in Innovation and Technology Management at the UNAM.
