Fernando Hernandez Senior Director, Supplier Diversity at The Coca-Cola Company. Fernando leads Coca-Cola’s Supplier Diversity initiatives worldwide. In this role, he and his team focus on the utilization, development and mentoring of diverse suppliers who can provide value-add to Coca-Cola’s supply chain.

Prior to Coca-Cola Fernando was with Microsoft where he served as global leader of Supplier Diversity & Sustainability. He set Microsoft’s strategies to achieve supplier diversity & supply chain sustainability objectives and successfully created a $5B program and joined the Billion Dollar Roundtable. Prior to joining Microsoft, Fernando served as Senior Vice President of Multicultural Marketing Strategy for Washington Mutual Bank (JPMC) after serving as Executive Director with AT&T. At AT&T, Fernando established and implemented AT&T’s Supplier Diversity program, well surpassing $1B in spend, and led AT&T’s multicultural B2B and B2C marketing (Hispanic, African American, and Asian markets). Fernando has the distinction of being the first person to twice earn membership in the Billion Dollar Roundtable.

Fernando holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Saint Peter’s University and a Masters of Science in Information Systems from the Stevens Institute of Technology, and attended the Wharton School of Business. Among his many accomplishments, Fernando received an Ellis Island Medal of Honor due to his commitment to serving our nation in the area of professionalism and culture, being a pioneer in Multicultural Marketing and Supplier Diversity. He has also been recognized for leadership in multicultural marketing by the American Marketing Association.
